Review : The Stig

The Stig: The Official BiographyThe Stig: The Official Biography by Simon Du Marche
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Stig:The Untold Story is a very funny book. It is supposed to be a piece of investigative journalism by a author who has written countless biographies of celebrity’s (including  Cheryl: Cole’s from Newcastle and True Gristle: The Madonna Story amongst others) as he tries to uncover the truth behind Top Gear’s tame racing driver, The Stig, getting all kinds of different theories as to who the Stig might be; where he came from, and why he is the person that he is today.

Read this book on the train and you will often be heard to giggle away to yourself. Some of it is very stupid, but still very funny; some of it is more subtle humour but there is a lot more of the stupid humour which is more like the tv show itself really.

If you enjoy the sort of humour that you get in Top Gear then you will enjoy this book and, I have to say, that this book had me in stitches for much of the time.

Totally bonkers, but very funny indeed!
