Musing Mondays

My musing this week is about books that I loved as a child.

According to my parents I always had my head in some sort of book or another, which is probably why I am such an avid reader still.

One of my best loved books as a child was

I read it over and over again as a small child.

Perhaps I will have to take a look at it again one day, to see why it captured my young imagination so much.

  1. I had this version too! I loved Enid Blyton’s books she was fantastic at writing appealing books for children… and she wrote so many. My favourite book of all time was Thursday’s Child. I blogged about it last month although it is now out of print 😦

  2. I remember my copy of The Story of Ping, which was mentioned above! I also remember that I had a collection of Aesop’s Fables that I looked at over and over again–something about the illustrations was very intriguing to me!
