Doctor Who : The Legend a new lavishly illustrated book to celebrate the shows 40th anniversary was released in this year.

It was a coffee table style hardback book retailing at £40 and looked expensive and impressive on first glance.

The contents was okay but didn’t offer anything new that hadn’t been previously printed in much better books than this, and some of the design of the book was very good (and some not so good), but in many ways it fell quite flat.

However it was the best thing that we got for the fortieth anniversary so perhaps we should be grateful that we got this at all.
