Burning Down the House

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Burning Down the House.”

If my house was on fire and I could only rescue 5 things, and Elaine was out of the house, then there probably wouldn’t be a great deal that I would want to save as most of the stuff that we have is replaceable such as cd’s, dvd’s and books.

Five things that I would wish to save include:

My laptop as that has most of my music, videos, and most of my writings from the last ten years or so and also has nearly every photograph that we have taken including our wedding photos so I could manage to rescue a hell of a lot of stuff from that.

My phone as that contains quite a lot of stuff that might not also be on my laptop and would be useful to let people know that I am ok.

My folder of important documents is also a must as it would be a pain in the arse trying to get copies of stuff and also not particularly cheap either and you never know when you might need them.

My wallet as it has stuff that I need in it.

My bag to fill with whatever I have time to stuff into it!
