Slimming World is a great way to lose weight, and is fairly simple and easy to follow as you can eat most things and still lose weight. Think of it not as a diet, more as a change of eating habits and lifestyle.

There are free foods such as lean meat, eggs, potatoes, pasta, rice, beans and pulses. You can eat as much of this as you like.

There are speed foods which include fruit such as Apples, Blackberries, Melon, Oranges, Strawberries, vegetables such as Asparagus, Baby sweetcorn, Beetroot, Broccoli, Cabbage, Carrot, Cauliflower, Green beans, Mushrooms, Onion. This must be at least 1/3 of your plate.

There is what is know as the ‘Healthy A Choice’, which is your dairy, so your milk, cheese etc.

There is also the “Healthy B Choice”, which is your fibre, so certain wholegrain bread, certain breakfast cereals etc.

All other foods are called syns and you can have 15 of these per day such as a chocolate bar, alcohol, takeaways etc.
